Purchased a new art print but now need a frame? Too easy! There are some amazing
off-the-shelf options available that make the process stress free. Even better, I’ve listed some of my favorite spots to find ready-made frames below.
The prints I offer on my website are all in standard New Zealand paper sizes (A5, A4, A3, A2 and A1) which makes finding a frame for them even easier. If you’re based in America and American standard paper sizes are more your thing, I offer these sizes on my Etsy site! You can shop these sizes here
This place is my go-to when it comes to framing. Framing is what they do and they do it well. They have a beautiful collection of ready-made frames available in a range of sizes and you can also pick up a matt for your frame at the same time. They’ll measure your artwork and cut a matt to fit while you wait and the results are always beautiful.
Because no shopping list would be complete without K-Mart! They have some fantastic options, especially for larger frames at affordable prices. I use their A2 sizes frames for displaying my large prints at markets as they use plastic instead of glass which for me makes them easy to transport and carry around. This also makes them great for prints that will be displayed in children’s rooms - if the frame falls off the wall, there’s no glass that will break and shatter.
General Eclectic frames can be found at a few retailers (I've purchased from Shut the Front Door
and Mighty Ape
in the past). They're a beautiful range of frames in both A4 and A3 sizes. They come come with a matt already cut to size, so all you need to do is pop your print in!
So which do you prefer, jungle animals, woodland critters or dinosaurs? Start shopping
for the perfect print for your space! Soon you'll have some glorious fresh artwork on your wall and I can't wait to see. Be sure to tag me or send me a photo when you do get your new artwork hung; I would love to see what pieces you've selected and how you've displayed them.
