A 2019 original work in watercolour on Hahnemühle paper.
This ruru was painted as part of my Birds of New Zealand series and the original has so much charm! It was created using layers of watercolour washes, then metallic paints were used for highlighting. They're subtle but when the light catches right it's gorgeous!
