Hi, I'm Raewyn.

I'm an artist based in Waiuku, New Zealand.

I've always been someone who takes too many photos. My camera roll is full of walking tracks, coastlines, mountain views, and places I thought I'd remember forever.

I'm drawn to places that get under my skin. Sometimes that's a South Island trail, sometimes it's a stretch of coastline close to home, and sometimes it's somewhere I visited years ago but still find myself thinking about. They're the places I keep coming back to, long after I've left.

A lot of my paintings begin with those places. Sometimes as a memory, sometimes as a photograph, and sometimes as a feeling I can't quite shake. Painting gives me a chance to spend a little longer with them and understand why they stayed with me in the first place.

Every original painting available on this site is created and shipped locally from my NZ studio. If you're visiting from overseas, prints are available through my Etsy shop and fulfilled closer to home through a global production partner.

I also offer a monthly subscription called The Painted Post: one art print, one letter, once a month, straight from the studio to your letterbox.
