July Round Up

July Round Up

It's been a busy month! I've been squirrelling away jumping from project to project all month, working on my landscape collection and commercial projects. It's been a hectic but fun month!
In the Lupins
I completed this watercolour and pastel painting that's been sitting on my desk since the end of last year. It was the perfect winter pick-me-up this month - lots of bright, happy colours to combat the rain outside.
My paintings are rarely finished in on sitting. I like to have a few pieces on the go and jump between them. Walking away from an unfinished painting is one of my favourite tricks. Giving myself space and coming back to it later with fresh energy can work wonders.
New landscapes
I've loved exploring landscapes and painting some of my favourite places in New Zealand. I'm so happy with how these pieces are shaping up and I'm looking forward to sharing them with you soon. They'll be launching end of next month. Sign up to join my mailing list to get early access when they launch! kakapo family sketch
A sneak-peak at some of the commercial work I've been creating this month; a little kakapo family! I love drawing kakapo so this project is right up my alley!
