September Studio Happenings

Birds took over my studio in September as Bird of the Year kicked into full swing. I had a great time painting these guys, and it was a fun exercise painting small again, with watercolour and pastels.

So I also took the opportunity to paint Pip's 2024 portrait using the same approach...
She is beauty, she is grace. She's Miss United States.
While painting Pip, I also painted this sweet pup, James for a friend.
A sketchbook page that has got my mind ticking and circling back to my love of glasshouses and giant plants.
I'm taking part in the Franklin Art Trail at the end of this month and my studio will be open to the public, meaning I have only a few weeks to sort my shit out and get this place looking less like a dumping ground and more like a creative space...
