Spring in the Studio
The last few months have been hectic with a couple of trips down the line, two Christmas markets, lots of time spent painting, and life in general. So, heres a quick update of what's been going on in the studio.
I spent a night in Onewhero in early October enjoying the quiet and scenery with Pip and my sketchbook.
My studio has been overtaken with pictures of other peoples pets as I elf'ed away painting ornaments. I've loved it. Everyone's pets have been gorgeous and so much fun to paint!
I've also been busy using my walls as an easel while painting. I find painting multiple pieces at once easier than just focusing on one piece. Its much for forgiving - when something goes wrong its no big deal because I can just leave it and work on something else. When I do finally come back to it, often the mistake isn't as shattering as I thought.
I've been working on a new collection with these pieces. Nothing is finalised yet, but hopefully over the next few weeks I'll be able to share more.
My Christmas marks are over for the year! I only did two this season after finding myself burnt out in previous years. Thanks to everyone who visited and chatted about art with me - it's always such a treat!
